Abstract
An experimental study on subcooling process of a transcritical CO2 air conditioning cycle working with microchannel evaporator was done. In this cycle there are two different subcoolers namely S1 and S2 were installed and tested. The experimental data show that the COP of the cycle working with the subcooler S2 is better which is at 7.2. The evaporator pressure, the subcooler pressure, the subcooling temperature and the compressor current corresponding to the above-mentioned COP are 44 bar, 75 bar, 26 ºC, and 2.4 A, respectively. A total comparison between the present study and other literatures was also indicated which confirms that the results gained by the present study look better.
