Abstract
In this study, CoFe2O4 as a highly efficient and eco-friendly catalyst has been developed for three component one-pot synthesis of lophine as the representative of multisubstituted imidazoles. The present methodology offers several advantages such as excellent yields (99%), short reaction times (10 min) and environmentally mild reaction conditions (500C). Moreover, the catalyst was separated easily by an external magnet and reused several times without significant loss of catalytic properties.
