Abstract :
This study aims to reveal the relationship of nutritional adequacy level of elementary school students of UNP Padang Laboratory Development with their learning achievement. This research is based on problems related to the low achievement of students of SD Pembangunan Laboratorium, Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), Indonesia. This research used descriptive quantitative approach which examined the correlational relationship between the variables. 54 students represent the whole population for this study. The data retrieval technique is using 2x24 hour Recall method. Based on the data analysis for the highest nutritional adequacy rate variable obtained, 37% percentage of the students falls into the moderate category, while the average student achievement showed that there are 75% of students who do not complete the KKM. Correlation analysis confirmed there is significant relation between Level of Nutritional Adequacy with Student Achievement. Based on the results of this study, it can be suggested that teachers and parents should be able to improve knowledge about the pattern of quality food consumption for children both at home and at school. In addition, through the cooperation between parties concerned, more can be done to increase the attention on the quality and nutritional value of the food consumed by the students rather than just emphasizing on the taste.
