Abstract :
Radioactive waste produced in Morocco had low and medium activity; the treatment supported to this kind of waste is the cementation, an ensured method with low cost used to confined and stabilized radioactive elements inside the package of cement. For insuring the sustainability of this management of cemented radioactive waste packages, they must have a long life during the storage and have a very good compression and bending resistivity. The aim of our study is increasing the mechanical resistivity properties of cemented waste packages and decreasing the volume occupied by the barrels of wastes, to realize this goal we studied the impact of the used sands size and the amounts of confined waste.
