Abstract :
Polymer poly (1-naphthyle acrylate) (PNA) dissolved in cyclohexane optical nonlinear properties are determined by the employment of thermal lens, diffraction rings and Z-scan techniques using visible 532 nm TTL modulated laser beam. Nonlinear refractive index, 2 n , and the thermo-optic coefficients, dn/dT, are obtained. The three techniques led to the values of 10 cm /W 7 2 and 5 1 10   k respectively. It appears to us that nonlinear optical properties of PNA are governed by the solvent
