Abstract
A new derivatives 6-arylamino-5-cyano-2,3-dihydro-1,3-thiazin-4(1H)-ones is designed as potential antifungal agents. Synthesis of 6-arylamino-5-cyano-2,3-dihydro-1,3- thiazin-4(1H)-ones s was carried out by the condensation of 3-arylamino-2-cyano-3- mercapto-acrylamides with various aldehydes under microwave irradiation using and lemon juice as a natural catalyst and solvent. Synthesized compounds were characterized on the basis of IR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR, mass and analytical data. Some of synthesized compounds were screened in vitro for antifungal activity by inhibitory action against four fungal strains like Fusarium oxysporum, Aspergillus niger, Verticillium dahliae and Aspergillus flavus . Most of the synthesized compounds have shown good antifungal activities.
