Abstract
Gas to particle mass transfer coefficient in risers was observed to increase withgas velocity, decrease with solid circulation rate and decrease with particle size.A model to explain gas to particle mass transfer in risers is developedconsidering that particles move as clusters. The model equations compare wellwith the available experimental observations on gas to particle mass transfercoefficients in risers.
