Abstract :
As a newly engineered colloidal suspension, nanofluid needs to be stable in order to take part in future industrial applications. A decade ago,the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer was introduced as a new quantitative method for stability measurement of nanofluids. In this research, the stability of aqueous Titania nanofluid of 0.1wt. % was measured by UV-Vis Spectrophotometer at the elapsed time intervals of one day,two days, one week and one month after preparation. The results showed this monitoring instrument is suitable to detect the stability of nanofluid for two days after preparation onwards. © School of Engineering,Taylor’s University.
