Abstract :
This study investigates the overall heat transfer coefficient of reinforced composite panel with the aim of being used as the internal and external cover sheet of the insulated panel. The results indicate that the overall heat transfer coefficient, U (W/m^2K) value of the composite reinforced with 10%wt. of fibre at 0◦ orientation (G10E) offers the lowest U value of 0.386950W/m^2K and 0.196680W/m^2K for 50mm and 100mm insulation thicknesses, respectively. This further shows their potential of being used as internal and external cover of insulation materials which may prolong the ageing period of insulation and also the shelf life of fresh raw fruits.
