Abstract :
Amine-modified MCM-41 was prepared through condensation reaction of the silanolfunctional groups of intemalpore surface ofmesoporous MCM-41 with methoxy groupsof 3-aminopropyl tricthoxysilane. Cu (Il) and/or Fcflll) ions were grafted to the modifiedMCM-41 via the coordination of the amine groups or the other functional groups into themetal ion. The iron (Ill) of a heme molecule connects to the modified MCM-41 via theformation of an amide bond between carboxylic acid groups of heme and amine groupsof the modified MCM-41, The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction powder, elemental analysis, AA-, IR- and DRUV-Vis spectroscopies.
