Abstract :
Various raw materials are used to produce active carbon. Peach stone, an inexpensive material which is available as waste from canning factories has been used in this research. The peach stone was converted to active carbon thru chemical activation by phosphoric acid, and the absorbance properties of different yields were determined. The influence of each process variables, such as the granular size of raw material (mesh), the type of chemical activation elements, the activation time, temperature were examined and based on the results, the proper operational conditions were determined. Furthermore, according to Iodine Value test and methylen blue test, the best approach was discovered.
