Abstract :
In this investigation, the effect of pulsed current Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (pulse GTAW) parameters on corrosion behavior of Ti–6Al–4V titanium alloy is studied. Pulsed current gas tungsten arc welding was used applying different variables to joint fabricate. The result showed that pulsing frequency and peak current had two regions which effect on corrosion rate.Changes in base current and pulse on time cause increased corrosion resistance and by increasing in peak current and pulse frequency, the corrosion resistance is decreased. Current pulsing has led to relatively finer and more equi-axed grain structure in weld metals and improved corrosion resistance.
