Abstract :
Total knee replacement (TKR) is a surgical procedure where diseased or damaged particular surface of the knee is respected and replaced with artificial knee components. Typically the surgeon will propose three different sizes of femorol component prior to the operation, one is according to the recommended size that acquired from patient x-ray film and the remainders should be largerand smaller than the suggested size. Therefore three sets of jigs should be prepared because for the conventional jig, it can only cover specific size of the femoral component. The preparation of course consumes a lot of time. The main objective of this study was to design and analyze fig that can accommodate anterior and posterior preliminary cut at the distal end offemoral bone after resection at six different sizes. As the result, this concept can reducesome amount of time to prepare unnecessary jig for the operation.
