Abstract :
The aim of this study is to identify and classify Istanbul Anatolian side. For this reason, first the main landforms in the region are identified, and subsequently the geographical distribution of these landforms is stated. In the study, the related sections of the Turkey Topography Maps with a scale of 1/25.000 are used as a main material. The geological 15 characteristics are composed of geological maps and reports with various scales which are prepared by different researchers. The thematic maps of this study are designed by the program called ArcInfo/ArcMap 10.0. At various times, scientific and technical field work was realized in the study area. It is understood that the topography of the field spent multigeomorphological cycle under controlled by different factors and processes. Besides the main landforms developed with different features, it is found that there are also many elemantary landforms which belong to fluvial, coastal, karst and volcanic topography at the examination field.
