Abstract
This study aims to identify the different teaching efficacy in influencing the Malay Language. The respondents in this study comprised of 429 primary school teachers in Sabah. The sample was selected using purposive random sampling technique. The efficacy items were adapted from Teacher Efficacy Scale (TES) questionnaire designed by Gibson and Dembo. Descriptive and inferential statistics comprising of mean, frequencies and one-way ANOVA were used. The result of this study showed that the mean score of teaching efficacy among Malay Language teacher is high, teaching efficacy and professional qualification did not show any significant However, Malay Language teaching experience showed a significant difference.
