PEMAKAIAN TUTUR SAPAAN KEKERABATAN DALAM MASYARAKAT ACEH

This study was carried out considering there is an urgent close relationship between language, social structure, and culture of a society. The structure of the people of Aceh will be reflected in the choice of languages used. This study aims to find a greeting kinship, describes factors that affect the use of address and find usage election greeting speech. Koentjaraningrat Theory (1992) and Purwoko (2008) was applied in this study. For the initial phase of this study only focuses on three districts, namely Aceh Pidie district, Aceh Besar and South Aceh District. The method used is descriptive method with qualitative research by using data obtained by natural setting. The results showed that the forms of kinship greeting speech used by speaker in Pidie and Aceh Besar district in general is not much different either said greeting kinship by descent (consanguinity) or based on the marital relationship (affinity). Things look different in some kinship greeting speech used by the people of South Aceh. Furthermore, Furthermore, the factors that influence the selection of the use of greeting kinship in Acehnese society is (1) age, (2) the level of generation, the Acehnese people greet each other with said greeting according to the position, role and status of each, (3) gender and (4) marital status.
