Abstract :
This study aims to compare the character of the nation in teaching when teach literature in Indonesian Language. A total of four Indonesian teachers, senior teachers, two teachers and two junior representative made the study participants. all study participants marked with PK111 (senior men), PK212 (junior male), PK312 (senior women) and PK412 (junior women). The study design is a case study. The study was conducted in four secondary schools in the state religion in Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. Data collected through observation, interviews and document analysis. Data were analyzed by triangulation. The findings showed that the more junior teachers apply elements of national character than the senior teacher of the positive aspects while teaching component literature Indonesian Language. Junior teachers are also available to implement the elements of character more negative than the senior teacher. This is the finding of the teaching experience is not a factor affecting the implementation of elements of national character in the teaching of Indonesian component literature. Personal factors teacher, teacher education, material and socio-cultural influences teaching students many Indonesian.
