Abstract
This research aims the necessity of instrument care and repair lessons according to the Anatolian High School of Fine Arts music teachers. This is a descriptive study for identification of the status, with respect to its objective and the qualification of the data collected. A survey of eight open ended questions and also including personal information was given to 42 music teachers educating at four different city’s Anatolian High Schools of Fine Arts in order to determine the knowledge they have about instrument care and repair. The results obtained from the survey are published in tables and are interpreted. It’s found out that the % 60 of the subject group were short of knowledge about instrument care and repair. This research also includes the suggestions about achieving the problems of music teachers’ on this subject.
