Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to compare the achievement of the students in a class of computer assisted geometry instruction with the achievement of the students who participated in computer-free geometry lessons. For this purpose, several GeoGebra worksheets have been prepared. These worksheets were applied to 17 seventh grade students for 11 teaching hours in a primary school. During this time, 15 students took in an environment without any computer in another classroom. As a result, the students in the computer assisted instruction group showed higher achievement than those students in the control group. The knowledge of the experimental group students were more permanent than the control group students’ according to the results of the permanence test which was done after one month of the application.
