Abstract :
This study aims to reveal what prospective secondary math teachers think about computer-assisted mathematics in the context of teaching derivative applications with dynamic software.Structured interview method is employed to collect data from five prospective teachers in the fourth year of secondary mathematics teaching program. The results show that, prospective teachers think computer-assisted mathematics instruction serves the idea of providing a graphical representation to students to enable them to get a quick grasp of the concept. Moreover, computer-assisted teaching of derivative applications is believed to concretize and visualize the subject helping the students to make an inference. Along with this, they stated that they would prefer to use board together with computers while teaching derivative applications.
