Abstract :
In this paper, we aimed to introduce the level at which the geographical factors have aneffect on the educational status in the province of Amasya. In today’s world of nations, thepopulation growth rates are of great importance. Population density has a significant impacton the societies’ on-going struggle for survival. Naturally, besides the population growth rates,the qualifications and especially the educational status of the population have a crucial role.While the educational status of the population determines the pace of development, it exhibitsthe level of sophistication of a nation as well. The flow of the students through the educationalgrades and particularly the literacy are among the points that should be elaborately examined.The geographical conditions are precisely the major agents which influence the educationalstatistics of the population in all aspects. This study elaborates on the main geographicalconditions effecting the education of the population in Amasya.
