Abstract :
Pre-school education is the first step in our educational system which has recently been desired to be widespread. However, work on curriculum-development in pre-school education has fallen far behind the expectations. With a number of new changes, the pre-school educationalcurriculum of 2002 developed shortly after the primary-school curriculum was applied in 2005began to be used in 2006. The study aims to determine what kind of activities teachers do inclassmathematics applications in parallel with the pre-school educational curriculum.In the study were included three subjects/tecahers selected from among the teachersemployed in two different schools in the Province of Giresun. The study was made with aspecial-case method. The data were obtained from the interview and observations with thesubjects/teachers at the end of the application. In the analyeses of the qualitative data was usedthe method of descriptive analyeses. For the curriculum to reach the goal desired, teachersshould not only correctly apply the curriculum but also be well informed and highly positiveof it. Hence, it is necessary to consider the gap/the harmony between the curriculum and itsapplication.
