Abstract :
In this study, it is aimed to investigate the lesson plans of preservice teachers, participatedin an instructional programme which focused on students’ mathematical thinking. In theresearch, mixed methods research including repeated measures design and content analysis Eylül 2013 Cilt:21 No:3 Kastamonu Eğitim Dergisi was used. In 2010–2011 Spring semester an instructional programme, which is a mixed modelof the instructional practices that focused on students’ mathematical thinking in the literature,was implemented with 40 preservice secondary mathematics teachers. Before and after theinstructional programme, a problem including higher-level demands was given to preserviceteachers and asked for making lesson plans. The plans were analyzed using the Scoring Rubricfor Attention to Students’ Thinking. The analysis showed that there are differences in the plansof preservice teachers with respect to the components of scoring rubric before and after theinstructional programme.
