Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects caused by the blended learning enviromentdesigned for the greatest common divisior (GCD) - least common multiple (LCM) subjects inmathmetics on the 6th grade students. This research was conducted with 35 sixth grade studentswho attended in a private elementary school in Istanbul. The blended learning environmentdesign, which was formed by using jigsaw I, ask together - learn together, visual classroom andinteractive whiteboard techniques, included the exercises about the subjects of GCD and LCMin mathmetics and lasted 12 class hours. The study was based on case study methodology. Thequalitative data were collected via individual and focus group interviews with the teacher andstudents. According to the findings of this study, cooperative learning techniques and interactivewhiteboard have positive impacts on children’s learning. In addition, it increases the interestsof children towards the lesson, helps them develop the friendship relationships, and augmentsmutual aid behaviors.
