Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to determine the science teacher candidates’ senses of selfefficacytowards biology course, and to examine their sence of self-efficacy in terms of variablesthat gender, grade level and the type of high school they graduated. The research was conductedwith 353 teacher candidates from Inonu University Faculty of Education Science TeachingDepartment in 2010- 2011 academic year. Five point likert type “Biology Self-Efficacy Scale”was used in this study. The t-test and one way analysis of variance was used for analyzing data.As a result, it is determined that science teacher candidates’ perceptions of self-efficacy differaccording to gender and grade level variables; and don’t differ according to type of high schoolthey graduated.
