Abstract :
Turkish lesson initially focuses on skill not knowledge. A lesson based on skills are not supposed to be taught in a way that the teaching is practiced by memorizing and is regarded the basis of education. In this aspect, the usage of drama which is one of the modern educational methods is very vital. In Turkish lessons in which drama methods are applied, pupils can use their basic language skills, creative and imaginative powers betterTherefore, a Turkish teacher must have adequate background concerning to drama activities and know drama methods and basic drama information in his own field in order to be a drama leader and to use it in this way. It is known that the conditions and sources used in Turkish lessons are not sufficiently suitable and that in the departments of Turkish teaching there is no adequate training about drama. However, despite all these deficiencies, if Turkish teachers develop themselves in drama leadership and if they go forward to available problems boldly, they can easily practice drama activities in Turkish lessons
