EXAMINATION OF PARTICIPATION’S SELF PRESENTATIONS IN EXERCISE WHO PARTICIPATED IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS TEACHING SPECIAL SKILL TEST

Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine the participants self-presentation in exercise who involved in the special ability exam. Scanning model was adopted in the research. Study group was composed of 59 female and 198 male in totaly 257 participants who was entered the Kastamonu University Physical Educatşon and Sport Department Special Ability Exam in 2010-2011 Academiz Year. For the tendency of participants self -presentation in exercise “Self Presentation in Exercise Questionnaire” (Conroy, Motl ve Hall, 2000) and for demographic information variables “Information Form” was used. Firstly nomality test was done for determining that it was normal or not. Nonparametric tests were used because of not showing normal distribution. For binary comparisions Mann-Whitney U test and for bilateral comparisons Kruskal Wallis variance analysis, was used in the study and 0,05 was considered statistically significant. In study; while there was no significant in sex, type of graduated school, sport branch, sport age, having coaching certificate or not, parents education, preparation time for the special ability test, family’s economic income variables (p 0,05), Significant was found only in having sport licence or not variable (p 0,05). In conclusion, ıt was seen that there was difference only in the variable of having sport licence or not and ıt was not more effective being a branch, the real impact was occured because of making good impression on environment for teaching in physical education and sport field.
