Abstract :
In the present study, the opinions of students studying in pre-school teaching department in terms of public service application class are examined. The population of the study is composed of the 122 third year students taking community service application classes in the Department of Early Childhood Education, at Selcuk University during the academic year of 2010-2011 in the province of Konya. The study conducted both qualitatively and quantitatively. In order to determine the opinions of the students, the community service interview form is prepared by the researchers. In consequence of the study, while a large part of the third grade students studying in pre-school teaching department thought that the course was necessary, a minority of the group did not think that was necessary.
