A STUDY INTO THE EFFECT OF PARENT-CHILD EDUCATION PROGRAMS ON THE ATTITUDES OF MOTHERS’ GROWING UP OF THEIR CHILDREN AND HOME ARRANGEMENTS

The current study was carried out to investigate the effect of Parent-Child Education Programs given to the mothers having a child in 2-3 year old group on their attitudes of growing a child and home arrangements. In the research, 35 mother and their children comprised the sampling group. Mothers were applied Parent-Child Education Program for 10 weeks, as 1 hour a day in a week.In order to determine the effect of the educational program on mothers, Home Environment Evaluation Scale and the Attitude Scale for Child Growing were applied. As a conclusion, it was found that the education given to mothers had positive contributions to the developments of children of the mother, supported the education and also contributed to the mothers’ attitudes of preparing home environment and bringing up children.
