Abstract :
In this study, the aim is to determine the parents expectations about values that are to be gained by students at secondary schools. Data were obtained with semi structured interview form. Forms were applied seventeen participants. In data analysis process, inductive content analysis method was used. Findings showed that parents are expecting from schools to teach humanitarian, national and moral values. To most parents, school is not meeting the expectations. Parents are advising and setting good example for their children. Parents think that students are isolated from the society, selfish and materialist today and they state that the main reasons of that situation are the improvements in media and technology.
