  • Abstract
    This research is a qualitative study in order to analyze the views of secondary maths teachers about models and modelling. This research was realized with the participation of six maths teachers working in different three secondary schools. Data of the research were collected by a test including the description of the given model samples and 8 open-ended questions about models and modelling prepared by the researcher by conducting national and international literature scan and getting expert opinions. It was referred to the expert opinion to provide the validity of this prepared test. Answers of the teachers were analyzed and interpreted by the descriptive analysis method used in qualitative researches. As a result of secondary school mathematics teachers with general information about the model and modeling are; but from the examples given, which can be described as the model is found to be related to deficiencies in information and teachers has made some suggestions about modeling.
