  • Abstract
    The aim of this study is to investigate the predictive effect of negative affect on cyber bullying and victimization. Participants were 360 secondary school students who were enrolled in different secondary schools at Erzurum. In this study, Negative Affect Scale and The Revised Cyberbullying Inventory were applied. In correlation analysis, engagement in cyber bullying and exposure to cyber bullying were found positively related to negative affect. According to path analysis results, cyber bullying and cyber victimization was predicted positively by negative affect. Goodness of fit indices in path analysis which was built to examine negative affect direct impact on cyber bullying and cyber victimization indicated that the model was well fit. This result shows the importance of the reduction of the negative affect on the prevention of cyber bullying and victimization.
