Abstract :
The aim of this study was to define the relations between Distributed Leadership (DL) and Five Factor Personality Traits (5FPT) with the school principals’ opinions. Research was designed in a relational and causal comparative design. The study group was consisted of maximum variation sampling from 110 principals. Data were collected by Distributed Leadership and Five Factor Personality Inventories. They adapted to Turkish Language and Culture. Data were analyzed with Arithmetic Mean, Pearson Moment Correlation and Structural Equation Model. Findings showed that principals had evaluated their colleagues at the good level in terms of DL and 5FPT. There were [r=.36 ve .51] positive relations between sub scales of two structures. Path Analysis results showed that a model when two structures approached as a whole was confirmed by SEM while a theoretical model at the level of sub dimensions were not been confirmed. Findings were discussed on the base upon relevant literature.
