Abstract :
Project-based learning provides a learner-centered approach and students can utilize various technological tools and instruments to access the information they desire in the learn-ing process. In order to carry out this process successfully, it is important to identify the technological tools used in this process and the problems encountered while using of these tools. The aim of this study is to find out which technological tools are used by the classroom and social studies teachers in primary and secondary schools within the project-based learning approach and to identify the problems they encounter during the applications of the project. In this study, semi-structured interviews, one of the qualitative research methods, was used as a data collection method. Three questions were asked to the participants and the data were analyzed through code-based content analysis. According to the results, the technological tools most preferred by the teachers for project-based learning were computers, projec-tors, the Internet and videos. It is also observed that the teachers associated their technologi-cal tool preferences with the convenience, the accessibility, the low cost of these tools as well as with the opportunities they provided for learning through experience. The most common challenge faced by the teachers was the high cost of the tools. One of the primary solution suggestions by the teachers for the problems they encountered was that the teacher should be a good guide in this process.
