Abstract
The aim of this study is to design “information ethics” concept in accordance with both national and international relevant institutions and organizations’ regulations and to evaluate objectives of secondary school information technologies curriculum within this framework. In this study, the objectives regarding information ethics was examined in the curriculum. Information ethics dimensions were investigated by using content analysis according to experts’ perceptions and qualitative research methodology was used in current study. The related objectives were interpreted by evaluating in accordance with these dimensions. At the end of the study, it was determined that information ethics consist of 6 dimensions and they aren’t seemed the objectives regarding the basic principles, cyber crimes, intellectual property, licence, cyber bullying dimensions. Accordingly, it has been concluded that national and international’ regulations in reflecting to the curriculum are inadequate.
