Abstract :
The main purpose of this study with the quality of a research in descriptive survey model is to reveal the awareness of the Kafkas University Faculty of Education (KÜEF) about the interuniversity undergraduate transfer in view of certain socio-demographical variants. Sub-purposes of the research in this direction intend to ascertain whether the causes of the undergraduate students’ transfers to other universities display a meaningful difference as per the variants of program, gender, teaching type, and place of residence of the students.Despite being placed to the Kafkas University Faculty of Education upon the University Selection and Placement Examination, Students tend to go to other universities for various reasons, and leave Kars after the end of the first educational year. This is a problem not unique to Kars and Kafkas University, but common among the newly established provincial universities with similar characteristics. In the wake of the research, “Negative Academicianship” has been singled out as the most important cause of undergraduate students’ transfers to other universities. “City’s Effect”, “Teaching Process”, “Academician-Student Relations” are successively ranked after it. The least effective factor in the undergraduate transfers appertains to the “University’s Effect”.
