Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to develop and validate a scale for measuring the opinions of teachers on the processes experience during their branch teachers’ board activities. The sample of the study consists of teachers who works at high schools, and this study was realized in two phases. In the first phase of the study 133 high school teachers participated, and for the second phase, 203 high school teachers were chosen who works in the district of Şişli, İstanbul. Reliability and validity statistics of the original “Team Work” scale developed by Clark realized during the study. The original scale consists of 32 items and four factors. The scale development stage of the study, to test the construct validity, exploratory (EFA) and confirmatory (CFA) factor analyses were conducted. Post CFA analysis it was determined that the scale consisted of 19 items and three subscales. These subscales are called as “group formation”, “early development and prescription (transformation)”, and “team building”. The fit index values of scale were observed to be rather in parallel with the model data. As a result of validity and reliability analyses, it can be accepted as “Branch Teachers Activity Scale (BTAS)”
