Validity and ReliabIlity Study of Preschool Visual Motor Integration Assessment Tool

Theaim of this reseach is to make the validity and reliability study of Preschool VisualMotor Integration Assessment Tool. Research was carried out in, state preschools located inthe district of Ankara city center and total of 290 children get involved to the study throughindividual application process. General Information Form and Preschool Visual MotorIntegration Assessment tool is used to obtain data drunig the research. General InformationForm prepared by the researchers for the purpose of obtaining information about children with normal development and Preschool Visual Motor Integration Assessment toolwhich isdeveloped by Deitchman ve Puttkammer (2001) to ases children’s visual motor skills in thisresearch. During the research process content validity and construct validity is done withinthe scope of validity study and test-retest reliability, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and interraterreliability with in the scope of reliability. Analysis demonstrated assessment tool is validafter construct validity, content validity and criterion validity. Cronbach’s alpha reliabilitycoefficient was 0.85 for the entire scope of the test. Statistically there were no significantdifferences between the test-retest for that reason reliability is also provided. At end of thestudy Preschool Visual Motor Integration Assessment tool found to be valid and reliable. Thisresults indicates that Pre-School Visual Motor Integration Assessment Tool is valid and reliableinstrument to assses visual motor integration skills of children.
