Abstract :
The aim of this study is to determine how seven and ten-year-old children express the concept of love in their drawings. In this study a qualitative phenomenological design was employed. The study group included 13 first-grade students and 13 fourth-grade students in a primary school in Ankara. The research data was collected using drawing and interview techniques together. The data collected in this study was analysed using content analysis technique. As a result of the study, it was revealed that in both age groups children preferred to draw their friends, when they are asked to draw the person they love most. However, it was found out that children in ten-year-old group drew their friends more than seven-year-old group children did
