Abstract :
Nowadays the requirement for clean water in human population is growing dayby day. Thedifferent factories and industries like pharmaceutical, textile, food processing, andchemical industries are the major cause of water contamination by adding an organicdyes. The aim of present study is to synthesize the green nanoparticles for the purificationwaste water. The TiO2nanoparticles were prepared using crude extract of local plantAcacianilotica. The TiO2nanoparticles initially were confirmed by color change and later by UV-spectroscopy.The sizeand shape ofTiO2nanoparticles were assessed by usingfield emissionscanning electron microscope (FESEM). TheEnergy Dispersive X-ray spectrometric analysis(EDs)was performed to measure the elements concentrations. Dye removing potential ofpreparedTiO2nanoparticles were performed usingmethylene blue induced dye mixture. The resultshowed that the synthesizedTiO2nanoparticles were round and spherical in shape ranging from50-120nm with average of 60nm. EDsconfirmed the TiO2presence in nanoparticles. Thesynthesized TiO2nanoparticles showed 75% dye removing capacity after 2 hours of exposure. Inconclusion, TiO2nanoparticles were highly effective for removing dye from water; therefore theseTiO2nanoparticles can be used as best source for water treatment for removing dyes from wastewater.
