Excessive noise is an unwanted sound and causes many health problems. Vibrations are the causefor such noise in structural systems. Many reasons like alignment error, manufacturing error,transmission error etc. are treated as the cause of the problem. If one has limited reach on theabove he can opt for the control of the same. In this article concepts and strategies to minimize thenoise and vibrations are detailed. Source and transmission stage controls are emphasized.
