Abstract :
An investigation of the effects of Hall current on unsteady MHD natural convection flow of anelectrically conducting, viscous, incompressible and temperature dependent heat absorbing fluidpast an accelerated moving infinite vertical plate with ramped temperature through a porousmedium in the presence of thermal diffusion is carried out. Exact solution for fluid velocity andfluid temperature, under Boussinesq approximation, is obtained in closed form by Laplacetransform technique for both ramped temperature and isothermal plates. The expressions for skinfriction and Nusselt number are also derived for both ramped temperature and isothermal plates.Numerical values of fluid velocity and fluid temperature are displayed graphically whereasnumerical values of skin friction and Nusselt number are presented in tabular form for variousvalues of pertinent flow parameters. The numerical results of natural convection flow near aramped temperature plate is also compared with that of natural convection flow near anisothermal plate.
