Abstract :
This paper is an experimental study and theoretical investigation on a heat transfer system. The aim of this study is to investigate the thermal behavior of water through porous media relating to its flow complexion in this medium at different experimental conditions by estimating the temperature profile and the influence of both the convection and conduction heat transfer through the bed. The research ramifications were that the temperature distributed through the bed axially by convection and evanescent effect of conduction, while radially both by convection and conduction. Accordingly, the heat transfer parameters should be already determined, including the wall convection heat transfer coefficients and the effective thermal conductivities belong to the medium that is composed of solids and water, taking into account studying the behavior of heat transfer dimensionless groups through the system.
