Abstract :
Kaposi s sarcoma is a rare subcutaneus lesion that mainly occurs in patients with AIDS, however HIV negative patients have been also reported. Although head and neck involvement is not unusual, laryngeal manifestation is very rare. A seventy five year old male presented with hoarseness and throat discomfort for three months. Clinical examination revealed a polypoid mass originating from left true vocal cord. The lesion is removed via microlaryngoscopy with healthy surgical margins under general anesthesia. Histopathological examination showed Kaposi Sarcoma. In this article, true vocal cord originated, HIV-negative, nodular and generalized classic type Kaposi s Sarcoma is presented.
