FINDINGS ABOUT DATES IN OLD UYGHUR TURKISH TEXTS

History of ancient Uyghur Turkish texts, most of which belong to Maniheist and Buddhist believes, is unknown. The texts which bear the writing date also don’t have the exact writing year. In this paper, colophon recordings and the lingual specification of the written or translated texts by Uyghur Turks during 8.-14. centuries will be studied based on their dates and related statements. Accordingly the old Uyghur texts are reclassified based on their lingual specifications.
