Abstract :
This article discusses the voting trend of the Indians and the vote split between the Barisan Nasional (BN) and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) in the 13th General Election (GE13). The voting trend of the Indians is influenced by their social location, class structure and the increased number of new voters. In areas which have 10% or more Indian voters for parliamentary seats, PR candidates fared better than candidates from the BN. A greater number of Indian voters had therefore voted for PR candidates.
