Abstract :
Contemperary journalism legislates itself with specific ethical and technical codes. Generally these ethical codes are objectivity and impartiality and technical codes are brevity and simplicity. These codes are taught as invariables of news text and tried to be applied in practice. Inverted pyramid news writing model is well known for its dedication to these rules. However this writing model and narrative structure has also an important function besides fulfilling those journalistic values. This structure also serves as a production line for journalism industry which should produce its product as fast as it can, before news become old. The current study determines how inverted pyramid news writing model functions as a tool in industrialized journalistic production process.
