Abstract :
In this paper we consider eigenvalue problems for the fourth order differential equations with
sign-changing weight. We use the Ljusternik-Schnirelmann theory in C
1
-manifolds show that there exists
two series of positive and negative eigenvalues of this problem. The first positive and negative eigenvalues
are simple, and the corresponding eigenfunctions do not vanish in the interval (0.1).
