Abstract :
Thepurposeofthispaperistodesignandsimulateanewcomputedtomography(CT)systemwithahightemporalresolutionfordynamicobjects.WeproposeamultisourcecubicalCT(MCCT)systemwithX-raytubesanddetectorsinstalledonacube.Carbonnanotube-(CNT-)basedX-rayfocalspotsaredistributedonthetwelveedgesofthecube.ThedistributionofX-rayfocalspotsanddetectorscompletelyavoidsmechanicalmovementstoscananobjectunderinspection.CNTsareexcellentelectronfieldemittersbecausetheuseofa“cold”cathodemakesitpossibletofabricateacathodewithmultipleelectronemissionpoints,andtheCNT-basedX-rayfocalspotspossesslittleresponsetimeandprogrammableemission.Theproposedrotation-freeMCCTsystemcanacquireahighscanningspeedwhenusingahighframeratedetector.Athree-dimensional(3D)reconstructionalgorithmwithtensorframelet-basedL0-norm(TF-L0)minimizationisdevelopedforthesimulationstudyoftheMCCT.SimulationexperimentresultsdemonstratethefeasibilityoftheMCCTsystem
