Abstract :
TheaimofthisworkistocharacterizetheoxidelayerstructureofAlloy690TTinhigh-temperaturewaterwithdifferentdissolvedhydrogen(DH)contentsbyusinganX-rayphotoelectronspectroscopy.UnderthelowDHcontents(0.4494–0.8988mg/kg),theoxidelayerswerecomposedofanoutermostlayerofNi(OH)2andCr(OH)3enrichedinNi,anintermediatelayerofhydroxidesandoxidesenrichedinCr,andaninnerCr2O3layer.OutermostNiOcoexistswithsmallamountofCr2O3layer,whileintheinneroxideonlyCr2O3remains.TheoxidelayersatmediumandhighDHcontents(3.1458–8.9880mg/kg)consistedofanoutermostlayerofNi(OH)2andCr(OH)3enrichedinCr,anintermediatelayerofmetallicNi,hydroxidesandoxidesenrichedinCr,andaninnerCr2O3layer.Inaddition,boroncompoundscontainingB3+ionswereaccumulatedinthethickandporousNiOlayerformedatlowDHcontents,whereastheaccumulationofboroncompoundsdidnotoccurinthethinanddensepolyhedraloxidelayerformedatmediumandhighDHcontents.
